El Mehdi BenaneSoftware engineer

Founder of Tari Software · Paris, France

I work with companies whose software is already business-critical. I get it back in shape to run another ten years, without a rewrite and without stopping production.

Six years on systems where a mistake shows up immediately. An online bank, a cybersecurity suite, terabyte-scale financial pipelines. None of them could be switched off to be repaired. That is the only thing they had in common.

Tari Software comes from that. Most companies do not need everything rewritten. They need someone willing to read the code that exists, understand why it is the way it is, and move it forward without breaking what works.

I work in French and English, from Paris, for clients in France and elsewhere.

Engagements

What I worked on, and what came of it.

Four engagements, by the problem and the outcome. Employers are named. The details of their systems stay with them.

Blank — Groupe Crédit Agricole

Senior Software Engineer

Oct 2025 → present · ParisVisit Blank ↗
  • Banking
  • Zero-downtime migration
  • Team of 4
  • Web & mobile
Context
A critical module had to migrate while the banking integrations were running in production. No outage window available.
What I did
Led a team of four engineers, split the migration into verifiable increments, coordinated releases across web and mobile.
Outcome
Migration delivered in six weeks, with no interruption to the banking integrations.

Fincome

Lead Backend Software Engineer

Jun 2024 → Sep 2025 · RemoteVisit Fincome ↗
  • TB-scale data
  • Pipeline rewrite
  • AWS · Terraform
  • SOC 2
Context
Python financial data pipelines that no longer kept up with the volume, and infrastructure that had to reach SOC 2 standard.
What I did
Rewrote the most expensive processing paths, rebuilt the AWS infrastructure in Terraform, set up CI/CD and ran the compliance work.
Outcome
Pipelines that keep up with the volume again, infrastructure that can be rebuilt from code, and the SOC 2 compliance work carried through to the end.

Polyconseil — Alivia

Full-Stack Software Engineer

Jan 2023 → May 2024 · ParisVisit Polyconseil ↗
  • Healthcare
  • Full-stack
  • OpenAI · Teams · Jira
  • Mentoring
Context
Figma mockups and nothing behind them: a secure production application was needed, wired into the tools already in use.
What I did
Built the application end to end, secured the backend, integrated OpenAI, Teams and Jira. Mentored the junior developers on the project.
Outcome
Application shipped to production, and a team able to move it forward without me.

Atos — Eviden Cybersecurity

Full-Stack Software Engineer

Sep 2021 → Sep 2022 · ParisVisit Atos ↗
  • Cybersecurity
  • IAM · RBAC
  • Role mining
  • Async processing
Context
An IAM suite needed to understand who had access to what, starting from raw, high-volume entitlement data.
What I did
Designed and built an RBAC analysis and role-mining engine, then a backend able to absorb security events asynchronously.
Outcome
Delivered end to end, from design to production. It is a suite sold to clients, so there are no public figures to give here.

Got a system that worries you?

Describe it in three lines. I’ll tell you what I would do, and what I would leave alone.
